A FORMER holiday resort manager from Widnes is hoping to put her extensive overseas experience to good use in a new found career. Joanne Ogburn, 40, from Upton, has developed her own fully bonded independent holiday websites, dedicated to helping Halton residents to build their perfect trip abroad.

The ex-holiday rep says that the move into selling holidays was born out of the public’s increasing demand for more flexibility.

Joanne, who worked with companies such as Airtours and My Travel for 16 years said: “Basically I want to break free from the inflexible package deal and provide holidaymakers with exactly what they want. “From how many days they need, what they want to do and where they want to go, taking into account their needs and their budget.

For example I know that many people in Halton travel abroad for weddings but don’t necessarily want to stay for seven or 14 nights and I can arrange that for them.”

She added: “I’ve lived and worked in 20 European countries including Turkey, Greece, Spain and Malta. : “So it makes sense for me to specialise in these countries.”
